Disadvantages of buying a refurbished pc?

I am really running low on cash and recently my PC has decided to pack in on me. It was really old, so I suppose it was likely to happen soon anyway.

The only disadvantage I can see is that you are buying an older technology PC. I make all my own PC’s so when a component goes south, I upgrade. With vendor PC’s (such as Dell & HP) you have problems doing upgrades on major components like system boards and cpu’s. A system board you buy online will not fit in the case.
Make sure you trust the people doing the refurbishing.
Best choice may to find someone local that does PC’s and find out what a local tech can do for you.
